Are my recipes private?

Yes. Your MyRecipes collection, personal notes, photos, and edits are private and only visible to you.

Your personal recipe collection

Recipes you save or create in MyRecipes are stored separately from BonApp!'s shared recipe collection and are private to you.

Your saved recipes, personal notes, photos, and edits are not automatically contributed to the shared collection.

The shared recipe collection

BonApp! maintains a separate collection of shared recipes that users can discover and save.

You can copy a recipe from the shared collection into MyRecipes, where you can keep and customize your own saved version.

Changes you make to your personal copy do not automatically update the shared recipe.

Sharing a recipe with someone

You can use BonApp!'s Share feature to send recipe ingredients and instructions as text.

Sharing a recipe this way does not automatically publish it to BonApp!'s shared collection.

Can I publish my own recipes to the shared collection?

Currently, personal recipes are not automatically copied from MyRecipes into the shared collection.
